woww! this was so beautiful to read and voyage within. i feel inspired to listen to Alicia Keysʻs music more now. i remember when my mom came out as queer when i was a kid she divorced my father and i remember driving with her one day to run errands and the song "Brand New Kind of Me" came on & she & i wept together. itʻs one of the only times we grieved together and shared that moment of love, iʻll never forget it despite the harm and pain that also exists, so to does the love. thank you for pouring so much love into all you are and all you do. iʻm grateful to be alive at the same time. thanks for sharing your work with us here!
